This skill evaluation tests players in a number of areas: 

  • Hitting
  • Fielding ground balls
  • Base running
  • Catching fly balls
  • Long toss
  • Pitching

Attendance at this skill evaluation is required for all players seeking to find a spot on a Competitive West Jeff Baseball team. This includes all players who just completed 8 yr old Rec league and will try out for 9U Competitive. 

Come baseball ready. Arrive 30-45 minutes ahead of your start time to check in and warm up. Don't send your player into this event with a cold arm. Please register ahead of skill evaluations to prevent a delay at check-in.

*Note: We're adding a scrimmage to evals this year to enrich the player experience. Skill metrics will occur in the first part of the evaluation, then the scrimmage will occur in the last hour of your time allotment.

*Competitive League Refund Policy

If a player is not offered a spot on a team, they will receive a full refund. WJBB maintains a 100% refund policy less a $25 processing fee (and credit card fees if applicable) for cancellation of a registration prior to formation of teams, which begins shortly after skill evaluations After the official formation of teams, but prior to the start of league games, any refunds will be 50% of the original registration costs, minus credit card fees if applicable. After the start of league games (mid-March for 14s, April 1 for 8-13s), there will be no refunds. WJBB must receive all cancellation requests via email to westjeffgm@gmail.com.
